Any sweet 16 Ideas????

My birthday isn't until October so I have enough time to prepare... My budget isn't really tight but I'm not filthy rich. I want to LOOK like I went all out for this party. There are going to be boys and girls there and I Do Not Want An Overused Theme... Can someone help me?

I am having either a 50's themed sweet sixteen or a New York themed one. I will probably go with the new york one. I was thinking like invitations on a subway ticket and a statue of liberty for decorations and some street signs. A shopping district that says fifth avenue above it and then like have all the gift baskets and stuff there and the building I'm gonna have mine at has a garden on the roof so that's gonna be central park. I'm gonna have a cafe with all the drinks and food etc. there. Maybe a Hollywood themed one would be good? What about a fiesta? give out sombreros for the invitations? Now I'm excited for my sweet sixteen! The budget for my party is $45,000 plus a car.

have a black and white sweet 16. like everyone gets dressed up and they have to wear black and white.and make all your decorations black and whitee and put roses on the table.   this was totally my idea that other person stole my idea.

Have Music, Pizza, Causual Dressed/or semi dressy! Have like a at the door raffle, and candy! Theme: Make it like a certain music era, or a Celeberty theme if you wanted to go fancy dressing!  Have Fun! Good LUCK

Have like a fancy dress party. and think of a theme, fancy dress always gets people laughing and chatting

you could do

- Coupes in history (people dress up as couples)

- fairytale

Orrrr maybe have a movie theme thats best as people have to go as something out of the movies.

-cowboys and indians? you could go as a saloon girl in a big fancy dress where everyone else will be dressed as a cowboy or indian.

- or you could have a fancy dress party with no theme so people go as what they want.

- you could also have a colour party! where everyody has 2 dress in a colour - let it be the colour of their choice,so say a girl went in yellow she wud have yellow bottoms,top,shoes,hair and even eye lashes.

Do a black and white masked ball.  Rent a large room decorate in black and white w/ red accents.  Guess wear black or white gowns.  Guys in tuxes.  Lot's of white lights, candles and roses.

Rockstar or Celebrity Theme is a good one.  I went to one like that and it was awesome seeing people look like celebs, or seeing them in their rocking out clothing and accessories.

For the place you will be at (home or a hall) you can put sections for like comedy, drama, mystery, horror.  Things like that.  Really make it hollywood.  :)

are you renting a hall, with a dj?? there are places you can rent for a very low price and then you pay for the drinks, ...soda etc, and can bring in your own food.

get a dj.....its like your own private dance.

a nice strapless poffy prom dress in  what ever color u want with sparkles on your face. you can have an amazingggggg grand endrance on the streets of where ever your event is by renting a small helicopter with a pilot with a red carpet ( or your favorite color) going to the door! happy early B-DAY

Renting time at a skating rink, covering the floor with balloons (they glide beautifully out of the way as everyone skates), playing the old sweet 16 songs (there are lots of them), and having the "disco" moon spray beautiful lighting effects (included in most rinks).  16 Candles starts the old 50's theme and poodle skirts are "A" okay.

The boys and girls dressed like they were gonna perform in Grease.  Jeans, and "T" 's with girls in skirts or jeans.

My wife set up a theme based on her daughter's favorite colors and favorite music band. The sweet 16 party was a blast!

water! have everyone wear blues and corals and put lottttts of fish tanks and if you live in a warm place have onna them wavepool with the surf thing lke on girls next door if you know what i mean.
