Any swimming tutors or teachers I need you help PlEaSe!!

Question

I am going to do my Bronze Medallion tomorrow and I have to swim 500m in 15 mins. Since I dont own a swimming pool and I cant get a ride to another pool I dont know if I can do it. What are some 'out of water' ways to determine if I can swim 500m in 15 mins .

Here is something, each kilometer of swimming= to 4 kilometers of running.  I know that if you do a split of 1 min 50 seconds per 100 m you can get a pretty fast time.  I do 400m freestyle in less than 5 minutes so i bet you can do it.  Just stay strong and pace yourself.  Do some streching before and after your swim and you will do fine

Can you do a mile walk/run under 10 minutes?  You need to be in pretty good shape, and keep a steady pace.  Good luck, its doable.
