Any taxi drivers out there?

5.9 mile journey, how much would that be about? it's in stoke-on-trent if that makes a difference

  1. Hi. a taxi with a top light has to charge whats on the meter by law from A2B. a private hire can charge you anything? even charge you to pick you up say 10 mile away and then you travel 5.9 mile they are allowed to charge you for the total journey ie 15.9 mile? thats how it works in norfolk. its best to phone round to a private hire firm and get a price.-x also make sure the driver who picks you up is wareing their ID badge and has a white plate or yellow plate on the car with the ID no.( norfolk )

  3. yes I'm a taxi driver . yes it makes a difference to where you get a taxi from . OK was it a black cab? or private hire? OK if it was a black cab and you know which council it is licenced under you can ring them they will tell u there rates if it was a private hire you need to coNTact the company and ask there rates but i would say between £9 and £15  would nt of thought any more

  4. About £7.50 but there are extras on top of the fare sometimes depending what day and what time.you took the cab.
