Question:

Any teens who hate parties?

I really hate parties where there is loads of alcohol and dancing and club music, i really hate it! I am only 14 and all my friends seem to love the idea of getting drunk and dancing around each other in quite a sexual way, like they do at night clubs and on the series "skins" (which i dont like lol). It really irritates me as for my birthday i want a party with my friends, but their idea of party is getting tipsy and dancing all night, i dont want that! i would much rather have a tea party!? yes a tea party, to some people that may sound boring but i think it would be really nice and different. I want a party without alcohol or erotic dancing up against each other. Has anyone else around my age just wanted an innocent party? It seems like they think getting drunk is a "grown up" or "mature" thing to do, i personally think a tea party is much more sophisticated? I would like to know your opinion on this. Many thanks =3

  1. Don't worry - I hate those kinds of parties too.

Drunk is not grown up or mature.

I'm 15 - if I'm going to have a party, it involves us being stupid without the aid of drugs and playing video games and eating pizza.

Tea parties sound cute - young, but they're more mature than those "LOLOL LETS SEE WHO CAN GET DRUNK FIRST!" parties.

Along with the fact, if your friends are already getting drunk - they're getting a tolerance to it, which is very bad. Getting too drunk could also lead to being taken advantage of.

  2. Everyone to their own so they say

    I prefer small parties instead

  3. I'm 16. Hate parties. =P

I hate loud noises. This means that discos and clubs are out. I'm too shy for boys and I hate the taste of alcohol.

For my sweet 16, I just went to a restaurant and had a meal with my friends. I felt guilty because I didn't invite the half of them that would insist on having an alcoholic drink.  ^^

  4. i dont like them that much they make you stink and i dont like that and then you have to get rid of the drunks before anyone gets home its horrible lol.

  5. lol..i thought that you were a boy!

    p**p!

  6. I think a tea party would be great!  What a different idea! ....  Your comments remind me of New Year's Eve parties, where people drink too much and say how much fun they're having.  I don't think anyone IS having fun, but they're just expected to say they are!   How much fun can that be to have a hangover the next day?  ...  YOU are the most mature, and grown-up person in your peer-group, since you're the only one with common sense and the confidence to do what you believe in (rather than just follow along with the crowd)

  7. Definitely a tea party is more sophisticated! Im 14 too and my mates seem to spend all their friday and saturday nights getting p***ed . Parties where the drink is flowing are boring because if you stay sober and everyone else is drunk, you a) feel left out and b) wonder why the guy you completely hate is asking you out!

For my bday I didnt have a sleepover (I usually do) because I was so bored of my mates asking me to smuggle in wkds! I just took a few 'normal' girls ice skating and we had a great time-no alcohol involved!

    Just do what you want
