Ok so being in high school obviously theres alot of pressure to do stuff and alot of girls who will do things for atttention and all. For example a lot of girls put S****y myspace pics up and stuff like that and I promised myself that I would never become someone who does stuff like that to make myself feel better and all....but sometimes I wanna cuz...who doesnt want people to compliment you, ya know. Im not planning on turning into one of those girls and im not gonna start posting bad pics, but I guess I was wondering in the long run is it gonna pay off for me to stick it out and not do stufff like that?

  1. DO NOT give into peer pressure! Stay grounded and true to yourself, it's so worth it in the long-run and in the short-run! There is no benefit from putting up S****y pics on MySpace anyway, no one is going to think better of you or "compliment" you for it!

  2. The way a woman dresses is the type of men she attracts, so cheap S****y clothes get cheap S****y guys.  Good for you, for having value in yourself, and knowing that you are more than that.  Yes, it pays off in the long run, but it pays off even now.  Take pride in your appearance, wear nice, flattering clothes that don't show too much, but that you feel good in, take pride in your face, fix it up with natural looking make up, and be happy that you are wise enough to figure out at a young age what some never do!

  3. i felt that way too i mean peer pressure can be amazing

but from personal experience, at the end, if you stay classy, people will respect you and think about you as a later choice, as you are a nice girl that will never do that stuff. so keep it cool, stay calm and be classy cuz it will SURE be paid off. good for you girl!

  4. don't do it you know better and in ur explaination you proved that to me. of course its tempting .....but hear this out.. the only reason girls do that is for the confidence it brings them.. they have no self confidence so they try and put pictures of them looking their best on myspace. but it sounds like you have enogh self confidence so RESIST THE PEER PRESURE.  you're right  . and really theres no point in doing that. you can still post pics of your gorgous face or w.e. oneline that might still get compliments without looking S****y.

  5. i put some pıcs like that up and i really regret it. i felt so ashamed. like i gave a pıece of me away for free. and no one feel in love with me because of it, i just got the wrong kınd of attentıon from guys thinking ı was easy. i would say find a hobby or study or joın an acting class if you want attention.

  6. in the long run people will get sik of seein the girls wit S****y pics up and wonder wat ur like and more people will check u out then!

  7. You know, once you're out of college, all that c**p won't matter.

  8. I do it for fun. That doesn't make me a s**t. It makes me a bored kid with nothing better to do.

  9. It will pay off in the long run. When those girls start getting boyfriends they'll end up with shallow guys who are dating them for their looks. You'll be more likely to find a good guy.

  10. i don't really know, in some respects yeah.

Cause one days your gunna find a guy that respects you. and doesn't just think of you as a piece of meat because you post pictures of yourself like that online.

  11. i know what you mean, but im sure that in the long run it will help. you will be proud that you didn't give in the future, and your in a better place because you didn't give in. and people say that companies in the future who could hire you could easily google your name or something and find out if you ever put up any embarrasing pics/videos. this could prevent them from hiring you. and anyway, putting inappropriate pics will get you the wrong kind of attention. if you want people to compliment you do something that brings good to, like playin hard in sports, being knowledable by studing, etc. it will all pay of in the long run, so don't worry stay strong, everyone goes through the same thing.

  12. You can still keep your character and have your own my space page.

It's all about how you do things and look at things.  I wouldn't think my space is necessarily about compliments. How about for meeting people. If you gain 2 real friends out of the  2342 my space friends then it will be worth it

      Best of luck

  13. Obviously you are a very smart young lady to realize that there is a lot of pressure in high school. Think to yourself what you might want out of it if you give into the pressure. It appears that you don't really want to do it, so don't. Be true to yourself and it is so true that once you are out of high school, all the things you thought were so important, won't be. You will be a step ahead, because you know how you want to be. It will pay off in the end. Most girls don't have a clue!

    Good Luck!

  14. well i used to be the same way when all my girls used to comment me like oh you're so pretty when other girls got like 26 comments from guys saying oh  you're so hot so i tried it i was 13 and i had my shirt cut low and my belly showing i started getting random friend requests from guys from other schools and i had 10 to 15 picture comments/ 20 comments per day (not lying.) It felt amazing after awhile but i started seeing a change in the way guys looked at me at school like they were undressing me with their eyes and although the attention was nice i didn't attract the right guys the respectful guys. My job also fired me because of my myspace. They do check you know. I lost respect from a lot of people just because i wanted to be liked and it wasnt worth it.

  15. Compliments are great to receive but try putting a picture of yourself looking really good in hot outfit, just not S****y.

I thought about putting a picture of me in my new bikini but changed my mind and put a picture of me in a new sundress I got and I've received 4 complements already.

Its also the type of compliment, or the real meaning.

If you post a pic of yourself posing in a bikini a guy might comment "hot" and mean it in a friendly way, but he might also be having certain thoughts about you looking that way.

Do you want people to see you like that? If you don't have a problem with it, then go for it.

I found it gave me a better feeling to have a dress that I knew I looked great in and people told me that I looked amazing.

I'd opt for 'amazing' over 'hot'.

  16. everybody feels that way, it's totally normal.

people will respect you more if you respect yourself more. even if they're not saying it. so by posting bad pictures of yourself, you're showing that you don't respect yourself and nobody else should either.

good luck & remember, high school is NOT the most important part of life. :)

  17. Stick it out. Don't do it. If you believe in not posting things like that then do not do it. Believe it or not (you've heard it a million times) you are going to look back on your high schools years and see that none of it (aside from school work) even mattered. And then you are going to feel ashamed for posting those pics. If you want complements get them for your personality. Become kinder and sweeter. But always always always stick with what you believe because your beliefs are one of the only things that are truely yours.

  18. Consider this: For every hottie that sees your pic... chances are there's a 40 year old creep looking at the same thing. But not your face.

But don't do it. If all a guy wants to do is unzip your jacket, he doesn't really like you. He just wants to see a 15 year old stripper.

  19. You are young. You should have fun.If you feel like letting it all out and getting nude then thats youre fault, but i guess if youre into that stuff it shouldnt matter! I honsetly don't see how it would have an effect on you in the long run. That can't stop you from getting any jobs, other wise you can sew people for discrimination. But it can affect the way people see you and think of you.
