Any thing I can do about color bleeding from a shirt?

I bought a baby blue athletic shirt, and when I put it in the wash with other colored clothing, a little bit of the blue totally bled on the collar, and now that part is white. It's a really small part though. Is there any thing I can do?

always go cold for colors and put it in with colors that aren't likely to be affected by a bleeding shirt.  after a few time's the shirt should stop bleeding though.  you may want to wash it alone

Most fabric is colorfast these days but not all.  There may be nothing you can do to this shirt to restore it to like new condition but here's what to do in the future.  Separate whites/lights from darker colors.  Always wash darker colors in cool water.  Check the care tag on a new piece of clothing and clean as directed.

try a bleach pen... If you dried it in high heat, the color run could be permenant...

Like the other contributor said nothing you can do now, but in the future if you have clothes that are questionable about color bleeding out, wash them separately in cold water and add a cup of vinegar. That will set the color

Go to the store and get some clothing dye in the color of your baby blue shirt and a new small paint brush. Mix up a bit of the dye in a glass with as hot a water as you can get from the tap. Try color matching on a clean white cotton washcloth first to get the color right.Then, lightly brush the color on the white spot. Let the spot dry with the color on it. Then, rinse the spot in cold water to get out all of the dye residue. Now, you shouldn't have that white spot anymore. But, you're going to have to wash your Baby Blue shirt in cold water with the other coloreds from now on. I hope that this was the actual answer you were looking for.

Most important wash with cold water.Use  preferably soap  powder instead of detergent.While washing add common salt in the soap/detergent solution or cationic softener.
