...he qualified as a pilot? Apparently it cost the taxpayer £15,000.

  1. Well the government & royality take the pxss out of the tax payer..

    So no change there then...

  2. There is no such person as Harry Hewitt.Prince Harry of Wales is the son of Charles and Diana.Hewitt is a sponger who is trying to make money off of his relationship by not only selling his "story",but her personal letters and his LIES.

William is a qualified pilot. He,like his father, will one day be the titular head of all the military branches,so he,like his father, will SERVE in ALL of the military branches.Wow! He'll actually EARN some of the medals he'll be sporting!Military service is nothing new to this royal family.Philip,Andrew and Charles are all pilots.Philip and Andrew saw combat duty(even Harry got to see some combat duty). Some royals even died seeing combat duty during World War II(Gloucesters and Kents,I believe).

And as to the PREPOSTEROUS thought of flying just for jollies? What a silly idea! The boys can go have fun on their own time and dime as they always have done.If that story is true, which I doubt because the art of reporting things truthfully is a dying art, perhaps Charles had to pay the fuel bill for the "fun" part of the excursion.

  3. the MOD said that it was part of his training, id like to see a non royal pilot getting away with that in fact i can imagine the conversation, "hello im Flight Lieutenant Smith me and my mates are going over to Ibiza for a jaunt ok if i take the Chinnok?"

I wonder what response he would get.....

  4. i think its discusting they should use a helicopter to go to a stag do .. that £15000 could go towards loads of more needy , worthy causes .. attrotious ... but then, i never have understood the upper classes and the super rich ,, they seem to have no concept of real life

  5. don't believe everything you read in the newspaper love. So what if it cost £15,000, WE did not pay for it HIS FATHER did

It was a gift for getting his wings. You won't be slagging him off if he's called up to use his skills as a pilot in the very likely event of a war.

  6. if prince harry is Hewitt's son why does he look so much like his grandfather.

there is no question harry is Charles son

  7. its a disgrace. harry hewitt that made me laugh, he must be  though must'nt he.

  8. Oh, I don't know where to start....maybe the "Harry Hewitt" thing. How hard could it be for one of you industrious Brits to snag a hair off the spare; and another one off Jimmy the Donor, and put this to rest for sake of King & Country. What's the worst that could happen? Invitro for Queen Camilla. Oh, I shutter to think. Now, what was the question, again? Oh, yea; the helicopter ride.....well, I'm glad it's you, and not "the Colonies" footing the bill.

  9. I think Harry looks like Charles and Diana's family have red hair.

  10. THAT CHINOOK SHOULD BE OUT IN IRAQ.

    SO SHOULD WILLIAM AND HARRY!

I THOUGHT THE NATION WAS AT WAR? WHY ARE OUR OFFICERS ARE HAVING EXTRAVAGANT TEA PARTIES?

AND YES HARRY IS THE SON OF JAMES HEWITT.

  11. Just the latest of a long string of outrageous abuses by the unelected royals

who, with all their wealth and power, still insist on leaching everything they can and exploiting the real uk people, the working class. who do the fighting in the unpopular wars and keep the factories and the country rolling. The royals are, to say the least privileged parasites.! Oh how the Russians and French are to be envied for their solutions to their royal problems. As far as those lame brain, pathetic princes continuing use of the " Wales " title....they are as Welsh as Picadilly Circus, As a real Welsh born Person, I resent this immensly,!

They are all a perpetual embarrassment to the uk. Royalty is an archaic remnant of barbaric british history, the sun has long ago set on the british empire and so should they.!

  12. so noone actually read the story then? Prince William was on a sanctioned training flight (across a built up area and water) all he did was what any of us would have done - combined two things - bit like going on a driving lesson to the shops!

Just out of curiosity how many people have "borrowed" the works van to shift some item or other? or know someone who can get a works van?

  13. Playboys and posterboys!

    Lightweight.

Are they where the action is?
