Any tips would be greatly appreciated. And will it be a relaxing trip? We've never been on a cruise.

  1. Your making an excellent choice taking your honeymoon on a cruise ship & as a owner of a travel agency I've booked a cruise from Galveston to the Caribbean & my clients loved it.

I would especially recommend a honeymoon cruise. Most cruises have honeymoon specials with lots of things that are added on free such as a possible free upgrade to a better cabin or even a honeymoon suite. It's well worth it & you'll remember you honeymoon forever. They even marry on cruises.

Also, check & make sure you get a cruise that gives you a free gift certificate or coupon to spend while you're aboard the ship. These coupons can be as much as $100 pp. & you can spend them on anything that is sold on board.

You should be able to get a honeymoon coupon!!!

Finally, make sure you stop in Cozumel & Playa Del Carmen in Mexico. Playa is right next to Cancun & you'll love the shore excursions. Check with your travel agent or cruise line & usually they will book all your shore excursions & bring your camera!!!

You can horseback ride on the beach, golf, play tennis & engage in water sports such as scuba diving, skin diving, windsurfing & wave runners. Cozumel has a submarine ride with a glass bottom & they have an underwater marine park that is excellent. The visibility underwater is 100 feet & there's plenty of fish life & colored coral of all kinds.

One thing I wouldn't miss is the ancient Mayan Indian Ruins & you can get a tour of these ruins on Cozumel & the Playa Del Carman area. You take a tour bus & it's cheap.

    Have Fun & Good Luck!!!

Have fun and good luck on your marriage.

  3. Cruising is the most relaxing ways to travel and see several sights. Once you are on the ship, you don't have to worry about a thing. You can do whatever you want, eat whenever you want and stay in bed all day if you want. I do suggest that you get a balcony because nothing is better then waking up to seeing the ocean or a new port. The only down side I can really think of about cruising is you are in a pert for usually 1 day, so you do see a little, but it is never enough time to really do some serious exploring. I have been on 8 cruises with Princess and loved every one. Princess is more classier then some of the other cruise lines and the prices aren't outrageous.
