  1. well with me i know i have to get induced and it isnt as bad as you think you will be alright hun all they do is give you potasin and pop the bag and it dosent hurt

  2. I have had 3 babies.  2 of them came natural and 1 was induced at 39 weeks.  A lot of people will tell you that being induced hurts worst than going natural, but the truth is, your uterus can only contract so hard.  I think people think that it hurts worst because you don't have early labor and you don't ease into labor, its like BAM, you in full blown labor.  For me, being induced was less painful and less tiring than my 2 that came on their own.  When I went on my own, my first labor started at 7pm, and I delivered at 431pm, the next day.  My 3rd came on her own too, my labor started at 1150pm, and I delivered at 309pm the next day.  My 2nd was induced, I felt my first labor pain at 1pm and I had her at 417pm.  It's all on how you look at it.  I did have an epidural with all 3 tho, I'm a wuss when comes to pain.  GOOD LUCK!!!  Maybe your baby will come on its own over the weekend.

  3. Start the epidural before they start the pitocin! I was induced with both my children, the first was an exhausting 48 hours, I went the first 12 natural, it was the most painful thing I have ever experienced. With the second I had an epidural immediately, nine happy comfortable hours I had a beautiful girl, and I didn't even miss my soaps. Just don't expect anything to happen super fast, which is good because if they try to give you too much medicine you could end up with a c-section. Good luck!

  4. I was induced with both of my kids.  I found being in a jetted tub helped with the pain, but once I got out it was more intense.  I asked for an epidural at that point.

Also, try walking to really get into a steady pattern of contractions.

It can be boring at first, so make sure you have something to do, either take magazines or a bokk, or watch tv.  You will be hooked up to the monitor fro 2 hours to begin with, so just try to pass the time, maybe take a nap.

    Best of luck :)

  5. Ive been told it hurts alot more. Also be prepared when getting induced you have a higher chance of needed a c-section. I was induced twice- been pregnant once lol. Are the smearing your cervix or not... i suggest they do. The first time they didn't. Are the doing the Iv as well? I only got the IV at first and then both the second time. Good luck and I hope everything goes as planned.

  6. I was induced with my first and all natural the second.  The contractions at 4 cm with my first felt like they did right before I pushed my 2nd child out.  It's alot more painful so goodluck

  7. Not to scare you, but definately get or consider getting an epidural.  The contractions will be more intense and you'll have a hard time if you don't have some sort of pain meds!
