who likes to keep me up all night... I just got an eight week old kitten. I love her so much but she wants to play all night long! I try to keep her up all afternoon after i get home from work but i do allow her to take a little nap since she is still a baby! however at night she like to lay behind my neck and claw. She is doing the rooting reflex were she licks my neck and paws (with her tiny sharp claws) at my neck. I don't mind it because that is what babys do when they nurse and its all natural. Its actually really cute but when im really tired it sometimes sucks! Especially when i wake up with claw marks all over my neck! LOL. Anyways.. .i don't want to de claw her ( yes i know she is too young as well) And it not really about her sharp claws. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to keep my kitten occupied at night so she isn't clawing me. Is there any toys kittens like to play with that incorporate the rooting reflex like comfort toys. (kind of like baby's how they have those bears that play womb sounds or heartbeats to help when they are born to sleep) Lately i have tried hanging string up, rollling up socks, small teddy bears. I keep things handy for when she wakes me up so i can try to get her stop clawing me which sort of helps. And no i don't want to lock her up at night either. LIke i said she is young adorable and my little angel. Any suggestions on if you have had this problem would be great. Thanks my fellow cat lovers~
