  1. Try using a split shot about 8-10 inches above the hook bait with a night crawler cast down stream and slowly drag the night crawler back to you slowly pausing every 8-10 feet this drives trout wild.

  2. it would help if you could tell us the following....

is it fast or slow water?   cool or warm water...

    what part of the country?

how deep is it - estimate..

Are there any known species of fish in the creek would help too..

  3. alright, i live in the catskill mtns. in ny, some of the best trout fisheries there is, and ive found that with small creeks like that, you want to use either trout worms, even some type of cured salmon eggs, but my choice would be a shallow running spinner such as a rooster tail, or a mepps, go with size 0, or a smaller size like that...good luck. you might also want to try a small spoon

  4. Try joe flies and use a spinning reel or you can use salmon eggs

  5. Try Live minnows

  6. You can use "garden hackle", that is, worms.  Just use enough weight to get it to bottom, and fish with the current.  Fish will position themselves facing upstream, waiting for food.  Or you can cast a small inline spinner, casting slightly across stream (quartering).  Fish under logs, under cut banks, outside bends, and under low, overhanging brush.
