Any tips for 8th grade?

Mmkay so I've not really been afraid of going back to school (I've been at the same uniform wearing all-girls school since kindergarten) but this year SOOSOOOOO SOOO many things of happened... NO ONE can imagine.

Anywhoo (always wanted to say that!) any tips for 8th graders?

We're required to do 3 sports (already have 'em picked out from 7th grade), 100 hours of community service, and have like 8 hours of homework per night (ouch).

Here's the problem.. I have the attention span of a bee (or less). I don't work hard unless I'm challenged. I'm never challenged though.

I would try to find a fun way to stay focused. For example, if you have to study for a test try and make it a game like matching. Also, make a rewards system for yourself. If you do your homework or get a good grade on a test you get to go shopping( or something that you like). I use this a lot because I don't have very good attention. I'm in the 9th grade by the way so I know what the 8th grade can be like. Hope you do well! :)

Well to tell you the truth, 8 grade is just like 7 and nothing really matters until high school

If you have 8 hours of homework per night you need to report your school to the police. That is child abuse forcing all students to get less than 6 hours of sleep per night.

This year does not matter AT ALL.  So do what you want and just work hard on your work.

im in grade 12 and ive kinda tried in every grade to find out that from about grade 10 below means nothing

Don't exaggerate for one. 8 hours a night? No way.

Another tip would be eat a good breakfast. If you play sports, a good breakfast is a wheat bagel with peanut butter on it.

do your best, honestly, and be thankful you didnt have to start a completly new school make new friends be called posh cause i was the rich one in a semi poorish town .

well first of all when are you supposed to sleep..The 7 hours of homework a night is a ridiculous..Ask for different work if your not being challened enough or get into honors classes or something if they have that.

If you go to a small school enjoy being the "Big" girl on campus.

In 9th grade you usually  go to 9th thru 12th with about 400 kids.  Good luck with that!  Hav fun your last year of school

Hm.

I just went through 8th grade and am now going into high school. What I would recommend is make sure you do all of your homework, turn in all of your work, and pay attention x 32874832749. && study for tests. If you do these things, I think you'll do fine(: For the community service, look around and find things you enjoy or like, and maybe they need help. For instance, if you like animals, there are tons of places that need volunteers. Hope I could help.
