  1. okay, i'm going into 8th grade, but i think i have some tips. :)

don't be afraid to speak up and say hi to people, but make sure you talk to the FRESHMEN and SOPHMORES, not the juniors and seniors. you could get yourself into some trouble there [they could be like "wtf ew freshman."] don't do anything that could get you a reputation, like being a s**t or wearing too much black. be outgoing, confident...smile. as for getting lost, ask a teacher or a guidance counselor. again, don't ask juniors or seniors. bad idea. :) and most of all, look FOWARD to it. meeting new friends, learning new things, having more freedom. think about it. it's going to be fun!

    hope i helped! :)

  2. Just go back again a few times and walk through your schedule a few times. And there's probably a pattern to your classrooms.. at my highschool the 100's and 300's are on the bottom level and the 200's and the 400's are on the top and the hallways are just a big circle... so try and find a pattern or get out a map (if available) and mark out the fastest ways to your classes. As far as getting lost just make sure you have your schedule and if you do happen to get lost just ask someone the upperclassmen know what its like and will probably be glad to help either that or know where the office is and ask them.. your teachers will understand on your first or second day they know its a big change so just try your best and you'll be fine. By the end of the year you'll be an expert at going around the building just like in middle school. Just breath Senior Year will come before you know it and this will all just be a funny memory.

  3. my freshman year wasnt bad.  we also had a new school.  don't worry, because it's a new school no one will know where they are going.  for the first day, just try to find your way around.  the first week or two of school, the teachers don't care if you are late, just say u got lost.  hey, my teachers even after most of the school year didnt care about us being late.  if you do get lost, just ask someone around you where to go.  you can ask teachers or upper classmen  don't worry, upper classman don't bite...at least most of them jk jk

because it is so big, u may not be able to go to your locker as often as you liked.  you may need to bring a backpack with you or try to put some books in some of you friends locker.

After you have found your way around, you should learn how to get to your classes quicker which means by shortcuts.  just remember to have fun.  it's a new experience and asy you said there is more freedom.  it won't be that bad at all.

    good luck in high school!

  4. You probably will get lost. When I was in high school I think I got lost couple times the first week. Plus there are many people that will be around and able to help you. It's understandable that you are scared. But it's not that bad. Don't stress too much over it. After the first couple weeks when you know your way around and meet people you'll love it.

  5. Everything looks big and scary when you don't know where stuff is. That's natural to be worried about getting lost. I worry about getting lost in places I don't know, so don't beat yourself up about it.

Once you're there three days, you'll know where everything is and it'll stop looking like it's so huge. If you can, I'd also take another tour so that this time you can pay attention to where stuff is and feel less stressed on your first day.

There's probably an orientation for Freshmen, so that'll help you feel better and help you figure out where to go. I would suggest hooking up with another student so that you don't feel so lost and alone. At least then,  if you're with someone and have the same classes, you can help each other find your way and if you get lost, you're not alone. If you get lost, you can always ask someone. It's always OK to ask for directions!

Can you go and visit again so that you at least know where more stuff is before you start school? Maybe that'll help you to feel better about it.

In no time at all, you'll be helping other people find their way, so don't worry about it ;o).

  6. Tips number one, use a condom during s*x and don't get knocked up.

Everything else is a piece of cake. If you dress like everyone else and not try to stand out you will fit in perfectly. Then you will find your own group of people through homerooms. As for getting lost just ask a teacher if you do. No one will leave you in the middle of the school, there will always be someone there to help you. You just need to ask.

  7. High school is nothing compared to middle school. I am about to be a senior (12th grader).

When I first got to high school, I thought I could have fun and be able to joke around with my friends, but I couldn't. High school is a very serious part of your life. You have to be focused and you have to study a WHOLE LOT. It prepares you for college, if you so desire to go after graduating.

Teachers are hard on you because they want you to succeed. You have to be sure that you concentrate on your work so that you can get to the next grade level.

I thought high school would take forever when I was in 9th grade, but now im about to start my last year. It went by so fast, and I thought it wouldn't. Just think about it, within the next 3 years, you'll be answering questions from the next rising high school student.

I wish you luck as you start your new journey =)
