  1. get a paste table + all of your unwanted goods..load them in car & go set it all up at car boot site.

do remember though...people with haggle/bartar the price...which can be irritating at times..but keep in your mind -its stuff you dont want..so you dont want to end up taking it back home with you...get rid of it!!

good luck - its great fun!

  2. Ditto...

  3. Get there early

Do no put price stickers on your goods.

expect people to hagle with the prices.

  4. dont put prices on things instead ask them what they would pay as ppl will often offer you more than you wanted

  5. 1. Car with big trunk space

    2. Lots of junk you don't want

    3. Find out where the nearest venue is

  6. look in your local paper and check out when there on in your area.some you have to book a place others you just turn up but check before hand.get together all your stuff.even things you think someone else wont want they will.get there nice and early cos thats when the dealers are there looking for the good stuff.you wont believe the things people buy.always start higher on your prices cos people will haggle.enjoy your self its great fun and easy way to make a few quid!

  7. Price up items, at a little extra so you can drop the price. Take plenty of change. Always best that two people are at the stall. Loads of carrier bags and newspaper if you have delicate items.

At the beginning you could get swamped buy the dealers so load your car with the "not so good items" at the front.

This may seem drastic but beware of thieves...

Don't feel pressured into letting things go at ultra stupid prices...

have a 10p/20p/50p etc box at the side of your stall, it encourages people to stop and look which encourages others.

If you are selling valuable items agree prices between the person your doing the car-boot with (its annoying if someone asks a price and they get two answers back)

make sure everything is in the condition you would like to buy it yourself...

    NOW ENJOY.

and once you've done your first you will be hooked..

OH! be pleasant even to idiots.. it will make your time a better experience..

    GOOD LUCK..

  8. Don't take anything with you that you thinks is worth anymore than a couple of quid. The people who buy stuff from car booties wont it for nothing. You feel insulted when they offer you 50p for something you paid £50 for. Its a good way to get rid of stuff.and its good fun..

  9. add a little bit to your price so when they ask to give them a discount ... give your original price

  10. Don't be unrealistic with your prices.  Take another person incase you need a wee/cup of tea.  Be prepared to say no.  Take lots of change and carrier bags.

  11. Always buy in pairs.

  12. its often good if you mark a price on your items, this then gives a potential buyer time to think without feeling obligated to buy/barter. also it lets people know the rough price you are expecting for an item
