Any tips for a corner?

Hey i need some tips on being a good corner for high school?

be aggressive off the line.  always look at his HIPS, not the eyes

watch for his plant foot, you will pick up his routes after a few plays

watch the QB with your peripherals.  if he is faced towards your man, its more than likely the ball is coming your way.

most of all......keep him in front of you!!

inside foot up.  

take three steps back then pivot to the inside/outside pending on reciever

only be aggresive if u have help over the top. if u get an interception u'll look good. butt if u miss and dont have help.... ur gonna be in deeeeeeeeep $H1T

well first things first you need to learn how to forget and dont drop your head every time you get beat(trust me you'll get beat, every corner gets beat)

second u need speed, if you cant keep up with that reciever your gonna be out of the game quick

third you need to learn when to press the guy at the line and when not to, when your going to press the reciever at the line, dont come in with full speed because he wil make one quick move and hes gone, just run up to him extend your arms and make sure your wrists and hands to the pressing(if you want to learn tow to press a reciever the best way, look at the way all harris the greenbay cornerback plays)

also you need to learn to look at the reciever and pay attention to his eyes because when that ball is thrown, you can tell by where he's lookin and then you turn around nd make a play

and last, bro your still a defender, learn how to tackle

oh yeah i forgot the most important thing, practice backpeddaling, learn good form, lean forward but not to forward but stay low
