  1. Enjoy your $2k status item.

  2. Welcome to the club, sister! Congratulations on buying your MacBook.

I am sure an enthusiastic used like you has already read the manual regarding the things not to do.

Let me give you some tips though:

    1. Definitely take advantage of the Mouse Settings in System Preferences. Especially useful is the Two-finger clicking which does what a right-click would do on a Windows PC.

    2. Look at the free Quicksilver software. Just search it in Google. I used it for 2 days and, now, I can not function as well without it.

    3. Take advantage of the active screen corners setting. This works like this: when you drag your mouse to an assigned corner, your Mac will show your dashboard or show all applications or show desktop. Whichever you assign it to do.

These are just some settings that suit my taste and made my life a lot better on a Mac.

  3. Grats on your new Mac

Just some Maintenance every now and then is all you got to do.
