Any tips for a girl going into highschool?

I'm gonna be a freshman and I don't have a clue of what to expect...

Even though I'm a guy I can lay out some things that might help and btw I'm going to be a junior this year. There are a lot of girls in high school that give in to everything. Don't be like a lot of those little whores. Also don't go and drink or smoke because so many other people do it. There's a lot of peer pressure and don't give in to it. Just remember that every drink you take or every time you smoke you'll be cutting your life even shorter. Just focus on keeping your grades up and don't worry about everything or what anyone else thinks about you. Also try not to over whelm yourself. Just relax and enjoy yourself because so far for me, freshman year was the easiest.

-Be outgoing.

-Be yourself.

-Be confident

-If you're scared to do something like go out for cheerleading or ask out a certain guy, go for it anyways so that you have no regrets later....hehehehe no illegal/immoral stuff though.

-Make good and loyal friends, these maybe be your bride's maids some day and God parents to your children.

-Keep a balance with academics and social life. Don't study so much that you'll look back at your life at graduation and realize that you had no social life and friends you can count on but don't party and have so much fun that you neglect your studies and with it do damage to your future.

-Do unto others as you would have others do to you. Pretend that everyone you meet may be your future boss or coworker someday.

-And finally, high school can sometimes be brutal. Don't let anything that anyone says or does get you down. Just let it go through one ear and out the other....don't even think about. Go on with your life like the princess (unspoiled of course) that you are.

-People only say and do mean things for mostly 4 reasons in high school at least that's my opinion.

1. So they look cool (doesn't mean they are)

2. Because they're jealous

3. Because they are just plain rude or mean (bad upbringing).

4. or peer pressure...one of my bestfriends wasn't actually my friend in the beginning because of something mean she said.

Also, remember that the things you do in high school may return later to bite you in bottom so be careful what you do and remember that when you do something people may ask what kind of parent/s you had.

Have Fun. High School will be a blast though I don't know if they'll be the best years of your life.

Don't take too diffucult classes and overload yourself..... and make sure you get into something fun there that you enjoy, so that you want to go rahter than end up dreading it.

one advice i can give you is that you should give respect and have dignity. Watch out for the people who you think will impact you in a bad way, because trust me, these 4 years are going to be valuable ones where you are going to meet important people and learn lessons.

Don't worry so much I just finished my freshman year and i am going into my sophomore year. I was so nervous about starting high school and after like the first two weeks I was used to it and i felt fine. Just choose your friends wisely and dont put yourself in stupid situations.

2.u may find boys in secondary school have different motives

high skool is nothing like it is in the movies..you will not get trash canned or even get a weggie by anyone..

when you first go in to high skool be yourself...dont pretend to be someone ur not or else no will like who for who u are...

the best way to find good friends is to be friendly to everyone and be open..

also a great way to find friends is to join a club or sport...be social and participate in skool stuff!

dont be a control freak or a person that always wants attention becuz that way no one will pay attention to u and dont make yourself like you are the greatest person in the world...just act normal..like how u would at home because soon you will feel like while ur at skool u are home and ur gunna stay there for 4 yrs.

try to make friends with a wide variety of people..the more ppl that you know and that you make friends with..the more you will enjoy skool!

be a leader...dont follow ppl around...

be nice and dont be so stuck up to upper classmen becuz they wont be so nice back if you are..

i cant think of anything else at the moment... but anyways..on ur first day of skool dont be stressed or scared...relax and be loud not shy...trust me..you will find a friend in a jiffy...

Highschool is not anything like the movies. Just be yourself and smile people like someone who seems easy to approach. Beware of Junior and Senior boys they like to prey on freshman girls because they are naive and tend to be more impressionable. They will say and do anything to get into your pants. Don't gossip because it will make your life a living h**l with all the he say she say. Don't try to be anything your not to impress people you feel are popular because after highschool you'll never see them again and they'll probably be losers. Have fun because those 4 years can be some of your best memories!!!!

First of all, in the friends department, don't try to act "overly cool", becuase it really won'y help you really become any cooler. Be yourself, be CONFIDENT, go to parties and events that are happening, try to be friends with kids in more than one grade, don't just hang out with one group. Make sure your teeth are clean. haha.

In the schoolish area, take notes, actually talk and listen to teachers, and show them that you actually want to learn. Of course, participate in extra curricular activities, and keep your options open.

No matter what, be proud of who you are and keep smiling - you'll be surprised how far it will go.
