Any tips for a musical audition??

I'm auditioning for Alice In Wonderland & since it's a modern version with jazz songs I'm going to sing good morning Baltimore does anyone have tips for singing dancing or anything???

  1. That's definitely a good choice of song for a jazzy musical. I wouldn't do a full out dance. That might just seem weird to the casting director. However, don't just stand in one place and sing. You need to move at least a little bit. Your director won't just want to see singing; she'll want to see you acting as well. Make eye contact with everyone, not just the director. That will be much more impressive. As for singing, make sure you're loud enough! Directors hate people with mousy little voices. Good luck with your audition!


  2. Don't close your eyes when you sing.  And defininately make eye contact with the person who's doing the casting or the other people in the room.
