  1. everyday (for about 30 minutes. - to whenever u want to stop) say do re mi fa so la do, etc. in a your best high pitch. once u do that keep going higher, but only if u  mastered the previous level of your highest pitch. remember don't strain your voice. please don't or u will be unhappy. also when u practice your high pitch practice ur low alto pitch, because if u only practice ur high pitch ur throat is going to be use to practicing high that u will forget about low.

*remember- if u want to become a soprano soon, the longer u practice everyday the faster u will become a soprano/alto

  2. Some people just don't have the right voice type to sing high soprano, so remember - if it hurts, DON'T DO IT.

To expand your range, work on scalar patterns.  Warm up in your comfortable range, then slowly move up.  I do one-octave scales, usually on the vowel "ah", starting low, going up, then back down.  Raise the scale by a half step, run the drill again.  If you notice any uncomfortable feelings, or if you feel like you're shouting to get the note to come out, you're doing something wrong.

Another trick is to relax.  Don't think of it as a goal - "I have to hit double-high C or else".  If you're worried about how high the notes are, you're less likely to be able to hit them with ease and pain-free.

I'm a contralto (very low alto).  I made the mistake of trying to sing out of my range, and ended up straining my vocal cords to the point that I couldn't talk for two weeks.  Be careful, and always warm up really well before attempting to increase your range.

    Good luck!
