Any tips for contacts?

Ok well I have failed 2 contact tests in the past week. I just cant get them in. It is super important for me to get them though! I dont have small eyes, but very sensitive ones and they dont like things going near the eye(My finger). They also get irratated very quickly. This is kind of crucial cause I dropped my glasses in the lake today and they were gone in a minute so I really need to get these because my new glasses dont come for a week and I can barely see the computer screen right now! Please.... any tips???

  1. Sounds like you need to practice keeping your eyes open while you touch them.  Make sure your hands are clean and dry.  You're going to have to be able to hold your lids open wide and tight.  Once you think you've got them held open, try hard to blink to make sure you got them.  Look towards your nose and touch the white part of your eye (sclera) gently.  If your eyes get irritated quickly, only do this a few times and then take a break.

When you are actually putting the contact in, make sure your fingers are dry.  Use a mirror to line up your finger in front of your eye.  Look towards your nose so you don't see it coming at you.  Push it on hard enough to get out bubbles, but not too hard or it may flip back on your finger.  Make sure you are also thinking about holding your eyelids tightly so you don't loosen your grip.  Move your eye around SLOWLY and close your lids SLOWLY.  Sometimes moving the eye too quickly can pop the lens off.

Just keep practicing.  Have someone watch you to let you know if your eye is open enough and if you are aiming correctly.  Good luck!

  2. the trick to getting them in is to: first, calm down.

i know its scary having something go into your eye for the first time.but when you get the hang of it, it will be like no problem to do. when putting them in, look to either corner of your eye[not in the center] so that you wont have to see it go in your eye.that helped me. and while trying to get them in, keep sticking them in the solution so they dont get dried out.

  3. oh my gosh my eyes were the same but i got them in after like 2 hours.just keep trying and you will get them in,thats what i believed and now im going to go get some packs of them
