Any tips for doing a touch-up paint job yourself?? ?

I was vacuuming my car and the vacuum accidently scraped the front bumper a little bit. About a half inch scrape. You can see the black underneath it. I plan to go to autozone and get a touch-up paint kit and fix it myself. Any tips for getting the best results?

Just try to keep the paint in the scratch and don't get it all over the rest of the paint.

Just apply the touch-up paint sparingly. Too much paint is worse than the scratch !!
