  1. Get the ball in the middle of your stance with short and mid irons.  This will promote a decending blow causing the ball to lift into the air with east.  Keep your long irons (3-5) in the middle/front of your stance.  You want to sweep the ball more with the long irons promoting a lower ball flight.

  2. Head down and steady! Feel like you are hitting down on the ball with your short and mid irons. Feel like you are sweeping the ball with your long irons.

  3. Depends if your a sweeper (brushing the turf) or a striker (divot maker)

Depends if your shaft has a too high of kickpoint.

Depends if your irons has a high sweetspot, and your just just making contact on the lower face of the club...

Smooth - Perhaps your trying too hard to try to get the ball to get up, and by doing so, your jerking the club at impact.  Find that smooth swing if that is your style, and stay with it...if your gear is not suited with you, at least you retain a good consistant swing, adjust to distance accordingly.

Enough Lift - Too Stiff of shaft perhaps?  If you try to play the ball too far forward to try to lift the ball in the air, you are actually hitting the ball with the bottom of the face and you will go nowhere in a hurry.

You may be placing the ball in a poor spot.  Ok, where should the ball be?  without the ball, swing at the turf, mat or even grass...notice where the bottom of the club starts to make contact with the ground.  When you have a consistant impact path established, then place your ball 2" to 3" from the beginning contact starts.  Dont try to hit the ball!!! just recreate your swing as if the ball is never there...yes, you have to keep your eye on the ball, but, your focus is the swing...if your consistant impact is recreated, then you will find the placement of the ball that will yield the best contact for your swing...Give it a try, and don't beat yourself up...find your swing, and you will find your game.

  4. Head down ,head down, head down.

  5. Try a slow takeaway for the first 6 inches then just watch yourself hit the ball.

    Have a good one...

  6. The best tip I can give you since I can't see you swing is Lessons from a teaching pro and practice...practice...practice.  There are no shortcuts to a solid repeatable golf swing.
