i have a few tips:

rote memorization which could be fun? nah not really, so i guess you really need to speak/write to someone

can't you speak to your parents? i do it with mine, but i don't do it nearly enough

i wish you lived close to me so we could talk in chinese woohoo! its actually fun for me because i love it! but not good if you have a test coming up...
