  1. haha that is always fun when im not doing real hunting im in my yard shooting squirrels......i shoot them in between the head and the shoulders.

    happy hunting=]

  2. Look for acorns or beach nuts.Sit very quietly a

Tip: a good squirrel call 2 poker chips held together in thumb and forefinger rub together briskly for a few seconds then pause and wait. If you can see them you can kill them. Hope this helps

    Happy hunting

  3. I usually sit and wait when im hunting for just squirrels, i dont see as many when im stomping around. As for range, i would say with the shorts probably not more than 20-25 yards, and take the behind the shoulder shot. Much easier to make a kill then trying to aim for their tiny head.

    Have fun!

  4. You do not hunt squirrels at night for one thing, unless you are hunting flying squirrels!*

  5. i would hit him behind the shoulder......

  6. You can still hunt and wait for them to get really close. Camo up

and they will come right by u. I would just switch to .22 long rifle. Them shorts aren't good but about 10-15 yards accuracy

  7. Look for oak and hickory trees, then sit down by a big tree and stay VERY still.  The squirrels will become active an hour or two before dark, and you should be able to plink a few.  I always go for a head shot, but you aren't going to mess up much meat wherever you hit them.  Wait until they are inside 40 yards or so.  Have fun!

  8. Find an area that is full of acorns, hickory nuts, that sort of thing and sit very very still. I used to scratch the butt stock on my rifle periodically. Didnt scare anything , dunno if it helped or not. If you shoot one, sit stil and watch for awhile and make sure there arent anymore squirrels around. Always make head shots. They instantly kill , no chance of wounding and losing the animal. Use shorts if ya want but id just use LR shells.
