  1. Well, Switzerland has a lot to offer. What do you wanna do? Do you have any special interests?

BTW: Lucerne really is beautiful but its about an hour from Zurich. From Geneva you have about 3 hours (by car).

  2. Cheap Brothels

  3. Dont eat yellow snow!!

  4. (inhale)aahhhh.... I could already smell the delicous aroma of swiss dishes cooked with red wine and oh their cheese fondue. Don't forget to try their hot chocolates when you're up on those ski resorts! I love hanging out by the Swiss lake(Lake Geneva or Lake Leman-which is the second largest lake in Central Europe)....it just gives me so much inner peace! Whatever you decide to do or go, am pretty sure you will have tons of wonderful experience!

  5. buy a watch!

  6. buy a clock

    eat cheese

    search for n**i gold

  7. Both cities are excellent, and there is great Skiing all around.

Just get on the train.  You can go just about anyplace, and they are inexpensive.

From Geneva you can take the train around the lake to smaller cities like Vevey and Montreaux.  Montreaux is home of the best Jazz festival in Europe.   Around that area there are castles, wineries, and just some great scenery.

  8. In Geneva see the Jet d'eau on Lac Leman. Eat lots of cheese, bread, fondue and chocolate. If you like fondue, try Raclette. It's similar and delicious. Brush up on your language skills; the whole world does not speak English.

  9. Since you mentioned ski gear I'm guessing your going to want to ski. Geneva is 3 hours away from the Bernese Oberland (Zurich's a little farther), which contains some great ski resorts. The Lake Geneva region has terrible weather this time of year, up until the beginning of Spring usually, so I'm not sure if you'd want to spend the bulk of your time in Geneva. Saanen, Schonried, and Gstaad are all in the Bernese Oberland, where you will find the Glacier 3000 that offers year-round skiing for more serious skiers, and of course most of the mountains directly in Gstaad and Schonried offer slopes for all levels of skiers (but are mostly beginner and intermediate slopes). Gstaad is famous for its jet set image, but there are affordable options there as well if you want. These areas are obviously more famous for the resorts than the skiing, if you're interested simply in great mountain skiing you should look into Zermatt, St. Moritz, or Klosters, which are farther away. Trains are the easiest and most comfortable form of transportation to the Bernese Oberland. Most service industry workers in Gstaad are trilingual (German, French, English) so you won't have to worry about translating if you don't speak German. In Geneva, if you don't speak French, you will probably run into a few problems. But the ski resorts are generally very international. I recommend Gstaad the most. Have a great time.

  10. Go to the place and find out how they put the holes in cheese!

  11. bring me back a toblerone

  12. Cannot ski in Zurich nor in Geneva, must go in the mountains.

  13. I don't think the swiss need tips on time

  14. Don`t eat yellow snow and don`t buy a cuckoo clock.

    Otherwise have a good holiday.

  15. Ask James he used to go there quite often for work ect....

  16. Luzern is really beautiful, too - about one hour from Geneva.

If you like cheese, go to Gruyeres. You can try the cheese and see how it's made and try the famous local dessert, double cream with locally made merengue cookies. Also, walk through a great little medeival town up on a hill and walk around a castle - all with a view of the Alps (if the weather's not too overcast).  There's also a freaky fantasy-s**y-sci fi- museum and cafe from the creator of Aliens. Seems incongruous in the otherwise quaint old town.

  17. Try to find the mystery of the bank accounts... And why it's so many banks in switzerland...

And either, how they made the holes in the cheese (gruyère).

And if you have time, why they have this ridiculous accent (I'm french, near the border, and I never understand why they speak so slowly...

And seriously, go to see an hockey game (except if you are a fan of NHL, because the level is worse), in "Les Vernets" in Geneva. You can support Genève Servette !

Eat all things you find with cheese (especially tartiflette, crosiflette, fondue, raclette, croute au fromage,...), drink a lot of hot wine (rrrâhh Lovely...), and enjoy your time !

  18. Take a few hundred dolllars and open a swiss bank account.  It's a great conversation piece.
