  1. Work ur calves abs thighs and get used to gettin hit hard on the fore arms

Crunches, lunges. work on your speed and make sure eye contact

try your serves and hits on a wall. and also don't be afraid to fall on your knees cuz more than likely ur gonna dive for the ball....alot.

what i did also was push ups to work on my arms; squats are really good 4 your thighs and abs; also i ran alot when i would warm up/ practice for volleyball

cuz u want speed, agility, endurance, and power on the feild.

    and DON'T FORGET TO STRECH

    hopes this helps

  2. Call it out when you are going for it, otherwise your whole team could crash into one another and you would give the other team a point.

Also, if you want to work on your spikes, ask someone to throw the ball right over the net. Then hit it over to the other side. At first it is a little hard, but later it really helps with your reactions.

  3. Work your calves, thighs, and abs.

But don't use weights, that's bad for your joints.

    Jump rope.

    Crunchers.

    And lunges.

And perfect your swing on the wall.

    That also builds strength.

Ask your coach the right way to do it.

I'm too tired to type out the EXACT way.

  4. jump rope and weight lifting

  5. as a former middle (also known as center: if you call it center, just substitute center whenever i say middle) i may be able to help a little.

blocking: try to read where the setter is going to set the ball. if he/she takes a step forward and arches his/her back, they're probably going to set a back set. if they take a step forward and don't arch their back, it is probably going outside, although good setters can still set the ball backwards. if the setter doesn't take a step or arch their back and their arms are extended, they are probably going to set the middle. it takes a long time to learn, and even longer to master. here's a given, if the set is on the 10 foot line, it is NOT going to the middle. once you know where the ball is being set, get there as fast as you can. take a big first step, then a hop and a step close (right----left, right if going right or left----right, left if going left). watch your other blocker's foot to see where to put your foot. jump just before the hitter starts his/her swing. the key to blocking is to push over the net at all times, even when going up and coming down. when you block, don't swing your arms over your head like when your hitting a ball. land on your outside foot and immediately find the ball. if it is off the net, pull off.

hitting: for a quick be in the air when the setter sets the ball. if you run a slow middle, talk to your setter about when you should leave cause i've seen 2s that were like 30 feet in the air. also if you're running a quick, yell, scream, do anything (vocally) to get the other middle's attention and get him to think you are going to get set. sometimes, the other middle will commit to you and your setter can set the ball either outside or back and have a one-on-one, a situation where the hitter wins 9 out of 10 times.

just keep working on your skills. talk to other middles, and most important talk to your coaches. they may want to have you play middle a certain way.

  6. For your spikes, you want them to be powerful and straight down. To do that, you want to snap your wrist when you spike the ball. It sounds silly, but it actually works. And for your  blocks, just jump up where the ball is and when if you tip it, be ready to do it again, because the other setter could have blocked it.

  7. if u r needing help on ur blocks.....to jump higher try a swing block...they always get me like2-3 inches higher than normal.....as for hitting....work with the setter and learn their timing...i they tend to set sky balls...wait for it to start to come down then swing.....ph and anoth thing on blocking...if u need help angleing the ball down instead o back out try and block on the wall...but when u jump make sure u arch ur body so that both ur hands and feet hit the wall............

  8. When i block, i try to line up my hands with the hands of the hitter on the other side.

    Also, time your blocks.

    dont jump to soon.

When you hit, wait till the ball reaches its highest point and then run to hit it.  And try to snap your wrist down when you hit it so the ball wont go out of bounds.

  9. i can not help you i am  sorry i am a spiker and a sirver (i thank i spelled that wrong)

  10. best tip..... whether spiking or blocking.... always make sure you make contact with the ball.
