  1. State Line Tack does a good video.  It wouldn't give me a direct link but go here:

    http://www.statelinetack.com/videos.asp

Click on Tack, and then choose "using polo wraps" (3rd down on the far right)

Stable bandages aren't as stretchy as polo wraps so wrapping with them isn't quite the same.

The most important part of using polos is to put them on going the correct direction, and to make sure that when you pull to tighten you do it over the bone in the front, never pull across the tendon in the back.  Putting pressure on that tendon is bad and can cause real problems.

They just take a little practice.  I used to practice on my sister :)

  2. Here are a couple youtube links.

Yes, you can wrap on your own legs (or arms) to get the feel of how tight you should be pulling. Stable bandages would work for practicing since they are so similar.

  3. welll ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm its really easy and maybe if you glue like 3 or 4 cans togetor that are pretty thick that might work

  4. You should watch a video to learn how.  I just want to make one point.  Always tighten (pull) over the bone at the front of the horse's leg, then hold that tension as you more loosely wrap around the back over the tendons.  You never want pressure over the tendons, or you could damage them.

  5. Have someone show you each bandage seperatly. They all need to be done a little differently. Like polos dont need 'pillows' under them but stable bandages do. Watch it with stable bandages though. They often do more harm than good if not done perfectly.

I practiced my stable bandages on my little brothers leg. It was roughly the same size as a horses front leg.

  6. I recommend practice. Your legs will work, but the table legs are probably too skinny/square, depending on your table. If you use the same polo wraps on your horse every time, practice on your horse every once in a while. Different polos are different lengths and thicknesses, depending on how much they are used. If you practice with the ones you always use, you will know exactly how long to take going down and so on.
