I bought a tsahirt which I really like and which was rather expensive last week, but I wore it to a party and then to a nightclub, and in my drunkeness I got a stain on the shoulder and haven't a clue what it is.

It is a browny orange smear, possibly foundation although foundation normally doesn't stain... but my mum had put it in the washing machine twice and treated it with vanish oxy action to no avail...

Any ideas? the area which is stained is made of white cotton, and il;l try anything- it is unwearable anyhow unless I removie the stain.

  1. pour a little bit of bleach on the spot

  2. You can try the Clorox bleach pen.  Just make sure you get it in the wash right after you get it on your shirt.  Don't let it sit on there.

  3. There's been a few times I couldn't get a stain out no matter what I tried then someone told me to spray some hairspray (in aerosol can) on it right before throwing it in the wash and the stain came out! Good luck!

  4. Mystery Stain Removal

    Step1

Eliminate oily stains. Mix water and sugar into a paste. Rub the paste into the stain and let the paste set. Wash as normal.

    Step2

Clean non-oily stains. Combine 1 tsp. white vinegar, 1 tsp. liquid detergent and 1 pint lukewarm water. Apply the mixture to the stain and let it soak until the stain is gone. Wash as normal.

    Step3

Erase the yellowing of wool and linen from any source. Mix 1/2 cup white vinegar and 1 gallon of water. Soak the garment until the stain is gone and wash as usual.
