Any tips for the elastic on my braces to go back to white again?

Help! The white elastic bands on my braces have gone yellow after eating beef stroganoff! Any one know any tricks to make them white again as its another 6 weeks before i go back to get them changed!?

sprinkle baking soda on your toothpaste and brush. but use baking soda too much because it rubs the enamel off, but only if you really need to get them clean. if it happens a lot, i would try a whitening mouthwash.♥

The hydrogen peroxide that the previous poster suggested might help a bit. Otherwise, you are unfortunately out of luck. It is unlikely that you'll get them to go back to being completely white. I think that is one of those braces lessons that we all learn the hard way (I learned when I ate Spaghetti-Os).

I would definitely try swishing around a mouthful of hydrogen peroxide. This will effectively bleach the elastic and is perfectly safe for you as long as you don't swallow it. If that doesn't work, try brushing daily with a toothpaste containing a bleaching agent.
