Use the natural motions of your game to physically intimidate your opponents. An angry opponent loses sight of the big picture and often gets kicked out for violent retributions.

    Guarding the Hole Set

    Instructions

STEP 1: Guard the hole set close to his or her back. STEP 2: Eggbeater kick with high knees, striking your knee against his or her ribs and kidneys with each kick. STEP 3: Keep your hands out of the water for the referee to see. Also keep an innocent, unaggressive expression on your face. STEP 4: Relax your weight onto the hole set's back to wear down his or her eggbeater. Tips & Warnings

Never play rough on a player with the ball. This is who the referee is watching.

Never play rough above the surface of the water.

This sneaky pummeling tends to infuriate people.

More often than not, the referee sees the second infraction, but not the first.

Be ready for the hole player to take a swing back at you, often with the elbow.

    Rough Swimming

    Instructions

STEP 1: Swim freestyle with a light kick. STEP 2: Allow an opponent to swim up onto your back. STEP 3: Swim with high elbows, swinging them back into the opponent on your back. STEP 4: Allow an opponent to swim up onto your legs. STEP 5: Kick suddenly and furiously with your legs. STEP 6: Integrate a single breaststroke kick into your freestyle kick to push off on a defender swimming on your back. Tips & Warnings

The purpose of sudden rough swimming is to make your opponent think twice about swimming up onto your back. Don't try to kick anyone's teeth in or gouge their eyes out. It's only a game. All you're doing is recommending to them firmly where not to swim.

    Overall Tips & Warnings

If you have any condition that would impair or limit your ability to engage in physical activity, please consult a physician before attempting this activity. This information is not intended as a substitute for professional medical advice or treatment.

  2. swim slow, and move your legs

  3. keep your speedo up!

  4. Ball handling, using your fingertips to pass back and forth. Be sure not to palm the ball, but keep it balanced on your fingertips for fluid movements. Practice passing with a friend to strengthen your arm muscles (outside, so you don't break anything). I also liked practicing my backhand goals and skip shots, but those are better done in a pool.

  5. Keep any physical actions under water (punching, kicking, etc...). If the referee sees you, you will be ejected. I know, I have knocked several different peoples teeth loose by elbowing them because they were playing dirty. The best part, the referees didn't see it as I am a goalie!
