my biggest concern is that i have 2 CHILDREN at home ages 3yrs old and 10 months. I worry since my daughter is already crawling and my son loves playin with his cars on the floor. should i take them somewhere else for the time being?

  1. I had the same problem. They have rat poison that you feed them once a day and they die within a few days. The rat we had didn't eat it. So, put geen onion on bottom of the poison and make sure it is completely covered. That way, they eat the poison in order to get to the onion. You can also mix peanutbutter with the poison. To amke sure that he's still there before you start wasting your money, one night put peanutbutter and onion, if he eats it then you know that he's still alive!(hopefully not for long...lol)Try it, it really works!

    Hope that helps! :D

  2. at nigh put some sticky pads, rat traps, and food out.you'll probley be able to catch him the same night you put it out. do this everynight.untill you catch him.keep an eye out for nests and rat holes in the wall.if you find one put traps and food infront of it .

    hope this helps!!

  3. i suggest a large humane rat trap and bait it with strong smelling things like peanut butter, crackers, apple, bannana, etc.

  4. dont leave any food or water out, unless you leave it in a rat trap  keep the children AWAY form any rat traps.  just incase they do get near rat traps, please use safe traps for the rat, and release him a mile away from your home

  5. use a trap

  6. I have probably only one useful tip that may help you catch this feral rat. Rats tend to run along the lengths of walls because they feel more secure than in the open.

Therefore, I suggest placing whatever means of safely trapping this rat along the lengths of your walls where he or she is likely to run.

    Goodluck :)

  7. Buy a small, cheap, hamster cage. Set up camp & hope you catch him. He won't harm you, though, so please don't harm him.

  8. wow that is grosssss. I would get your family in a hotel room and hire an exterminator

  9. Put sticky pads all around the rat traps and put food on the trap.  That way when the rat comes to get the food, it will get stuck on the sticky pads.  And if the sticky pads do not work, the rat might get stuck in the trap when it takes the treat.  Use a lot of traps and make sure you have enough sticky pads to put all around all the traps.  And make sure you check all the traps every 2 days.  I hope this helps.

  10. It's called "rat traps".
