  1. You can pick it up in like 30 minutes.  On the easy slopes that is, not telling you to go up to black diamonds or anything.

It's a  lot of fun, I hope you enjoy your trip.  Watch out when getting on and off those lifts!!!

    BTW you're hot.

  2. yea just ski with me and I should be able to help you.

  3. I would definitely take ski lessons.. most large ski resorts have ski trainers who give lessons.. your going to want to have the obvious... Ski Jacket, gloves , hat. and ski pants, also make sure you get a good pair of ski socks.. they are thin wool socks ..if you wear big thick cotton socks your feet will sweat and get cold... not to mention the boots don't slide on and off nor fit right with those big thick cotton socks... Also give your self time to learn.. your not going to ski like an Olympic skier the first time out.. I was enticed by a brother many yrs ago to take ski lessons not thinking I would like it... I ended up sticking with it , practicing and got hooked on it.... hope that helped... good luck

  4. Be careful of altitude sickness.  For my Senior trip we went to Winter Park, CO.  And I spent the day at the First Aid station.  I got very dizzy and almost passed out on the slopes.

  5. Watch out for altitude sickness. Taking airborne will help relive symptoms such as Vomiting, Headache, Fever, or bends

    Bring these items to help keep warm;

it is all about your layers and how you wear them

    Upper Body layers

A base layer: under armor, or thin warm layers

First Mid layer: A thin cotton long sleeve

Second Midlayer: A thicker warmer Longsleve

Outer Layer: A Wind proof water proof jacket

    Lower Body layers:

Base layers: long Johns or Under armor

Mid Later: Something cotton and warm like Pajamas

Outer: Water and wind proof snow pants

    Other Items to have:

    A warm hat and goggles

    Thick gloves or mittens

    Hand warmers and toe warmers.

If skiing get thin very thin socks otherwise you get blisters easily.

Keep Well hydrated and that is all

    Have Fun =)

  6. Take a series of lessons from a qualified professional instructor. Smile, wear sunscreen, tighten your boots around your foot and ankle.  Take dancing shoes and enjoy yourself.

  7. i no im like the 500th person to answer but here me out, get good flexible skis  and pace yourself, after you can stand up and go down w/o falling try a bigger bunny hill, and eventually you'll be on the black diamond

  8. good luck,

take lessons of course, try to get ski pant or something water proof (jeans wont do)

  9. Take a lesson and make sure you have all the equipment needed to be comfortable. including long johns, ski socks, and warm waterproof pants and jacket

  10. Don't lift any ski while you are going down, balance is important, bend your knees, basically that is all. Yes, and just turn your skis when you want to stop, you know in a side!

  11. balance is importent. but its easier than you think, just remember if you think you are going to fast snow plaw(when your skiis turn it in the front) it helps when an area is too steep. But just go for a green circle first, then blue square. You should be fine on both your first time out, but i would start with green....GOOD LUCK!!

  12. Drink lots of water before and during your trip.  Eat a good breakfast with protein, or the mountain will kick your butt, no matter how many lessons you take.  Skiing can be physically demanding, but it's a blast when you're prepared.

  13. ooo have fun!!!  you'll probably get really sore :)  it won't be that bad, though.  you can get your own goggles.  don't forget to rent/get a helmet!!  be confidant..i'm a very timid skier.  i moved to colorado 4 years ago and i'm still on beginner skiis :O  lol maybe you shouldn't listen to me!!  i've done blacks (they scare me), but i have a ball on greens and blues!
