  1. Newborns?  As in, more than one?  Well, I only had one, but first of all, the biggest tip I have is to relax and let it happen naturally.  Your baby will tell you when he needs more or less.  Get used to sitting on the couch for long periods of time.  Tell yourself that you are bonding with your baby and giving him the gift of the purest, most nutritious food possible.  You are not doing nothing...you are doing the most important job a new mom can do.  Get library books and read about parenting while you are nursing.  I really liked the Dr. Sears ones on attachment parenting.  They really validated my desire to follow my instincts and just focus on loving my baby.  Check out the website for www.kellymom.com.  It can answer a lot of questions.  Oh, and also, hold your baby up parallel with your b*****s.  If you are bending down to the baby, it will cause painful latching.

  2. Here's a great website to get you started, including video on latching.

Tomorrow, you should call the hospital where you delivered and ask to make an appointment with the lactation consultant. Since you gave birth there, it should not cost you anything extra.

  3. they never showed me either. its realy easy tho. just hold ur baby in a football position or a cradle position and this the other hand kinda pinch ur breast so it can fit in his mouth. once he lachs on its easy but painfull

  4. they didnt show you at the hospital??

look at a website....you need some visual images to help you understand.

  5. Make up your mind. are your 'she-man' or in this case a 'she-boy'

    Stop playing your silly games!

  6. I have breastfeeding my baby for 2 months now. I love it. It is so sweet to know that I am able to give him what he needs. Here are some tips. make sure that the baby is latched with his lips around your areola and not your nipple! It will hurt like heck if the latch is wrong, Do expect some pain, it takes time for you and your baby to know what to do but I promise you will get it. If you don't he/she will! Don't give up! good luck.
