Any tips on doing a Yiddish accent?

I'm trying to get the feel of the character Fagin in Oliver!, I thought I'd try approaching from his Jewish side before his Cockney side, any pointers on a Yiddish accent?

go to your local theater company, or teacher if you're in a class, and ask if you can borrow a cd that has a yiddish accent on it.  You'll be able to listen ot what it really sounds like and practice.
