Any tips on growing Potentilla shrubs?

The sometimes more common name is:cinquefoil.

It is a perennial plant, which comes back every year.

It is mainly found throughout the West because it doesnt need a lot of water, loves the sun and heat, and can grow in locations from a bank parking lot to a rocky cliff by a home.

It is native to USA.

It typically has little yellow flowers.

As to tips, you should plant it like any other bush/scrub (dig a hole twice the size of the "root ball" and put some fresh dirt in it; then soak the "ball" and dirt -- the far lying ground around it doesn't have to be the best.).  Continue to moderately water it regularly the first year.  After that, it needs little watering.  I've seen some grow with just rain water. (Many people make the mistake of giving it too little water when they first plant it and it dies within a year.)
