So, lets start here with my story.
I'm 13, going into 9th grade, and once we move, I had planned to become a small animal breeder, recently, after one yahoo question I looked at and answered, I realized I had another opportunity, to become an adoption agency/Shelter.
We own 80 acres, and I believe we're putting in a barn, my whole family loves animals, and we own all types.
But if I were to try to open a small rescue center/Shelter, I need some answers to the following questions.
*Is it even legal for a highschooler to open a shelter, at home?
*Do I need a permet?
*If I was to do this, how much money would be involved in building a shelter, and equiptment?
*Any ways to begin earning a profit to start this shelter?
*If I was a non profit organization, but did charge for adoption fees, how much would a pay a co-worker, to do annual vet checks, and help with paperwork, and other stuff?
*If I was to hire more youth workers, how much would you pay for an after school job?{Dog walking, Cat playing, Paperwork/ Filing}
*Would it be better to hire a full time vet? If so, how much should I pay?
*Should I also board pets?
*What about grooming? Could that bring in a profit?
Basically, I need all the info I can on bringing in money by
Grooming, Boarding, Breeding, adopting, Selling, Adopting out,
Purchasing, Funds, Building plans, Certificates, and running and owning a shelter!
Please help!
