Any tips on how I can get the name of the HR Manager for the company I would like to work for?

I read that when addressing cover letters, it is a good idea to place the name of a real person on the salutation as opposed to just saying, "Dear HR Manager." I'd like to know if there is anyone out there who can offer some tips on how to obtain this information even if I don't know anyone from the company I'm hoping to work for.

You might call them and say that you would like to send your resume directly to the HR Manager ~ admittedly this will be a long shot.

The other option is to go on line and check out the company site which usually has a plethora of information.

Here's a sneakly little trick I learned asa telemarketer..

Call the co and ask for Mr. Bill  Bkvsjhdushn.((or make up a name))  Of course, there won't be a Mr Bill B------there.  

You say, """according to my information, he's the HR Manager .My information, must be wrong,. Could you please tell me who the HR manager is???"""

They just may tell you.

If they offer to connect you, you'll just get voicemail , then you can hang up. But you got the info you need!
