Any tips on removing a toric contact?

i love my contacts but i just cant seem to b able to take my left one of, it takes me hours and my eye ends up hurting alot and very red. i pinch it and pinch it, but its stuck in my eye, i wear a toric contact on it and i think thats y it sticks so hard to my eye. plz help!!!!!!!

  1. It sounds like it is drying out.  Put some saline in your eye to wet the contact before trying to remove it.  You can injure your eye if you don't.  The wetter the contact is, the easier it will be to remove it.


  2. I personally have hard gas permeable lenses. But there are lens removers for soft and hard lenses. You typically move the lens to the side of the eye and remove it using the tool below. (Make sure you have adequate lubrication before moving the lens, of course.)
