Question:

Any tips on running?

Running for my sports day tomorrow, 100m - I'm quite fast but not fast enough to beat the people I'm against - anyone got any advice on how to get myself going a bit faster?

I'm not too bothered about losing, as long as I don't lose by an embarassing amount......

Any help would be much appreciated...

  1. I just had a P.E lesson on 100m so I know a few tips that might make you go a bit faster.

Do a sprint start at the start if you're confident about doing one, and gradually come up so that you have a good head start.

Run with your arms at right angles to your body but so that they don't stick out, and focus on a point ahead of you the whole time you're racing.

Keep your upper body relaxed and run on the balls of your feet and make sure that you do quick long strides.

Hope this helps and good luck for tomorrow :]

  2. keep your arms at a 90 degree angle and keep them moving fowards. this helps your body to stay straight instead of swaying slightly. also, keep your head down. it gives you more streamline so you should go faster. those tips are what i do when im doing 100m. hope this helps.

  3. look straight ahead

  4. running on ur tiptoes makes u go faster.Ü
