Any tips on what to expect when babysitting a 3 month old baby?

My moms co-worker called and asked me to babysit her son. i cant remember if she said 3 months or 6 months. does it make a difference? anyway, i have never babysat anyone that young so do u have any ideas on what to play with him? what should i expect?

p.s im babysitting tonight!

be prepared for some fussiness - pee and poopie diapers

and .. a lot of drool haha

have fun. - just play with him lots give lots and lots of attention

and never let him leave your eye

expect poo...sick...crying... and more crying! no its not that bad really!

he might just sleep after you have given him a feed! if not a little noise like a rattle or something should keep him happy.

just hold him, cuddle him, feed and change him if he needs it (don't forget to burp him after giving him a bottle) and sing nursery rhymes to him. (This little piggy, The eensy weensy spider etc.)

3 months old... make funny faces and sounds. peekaboo, tummytime in front of a mirror...if he gets fussy rock him, cuddle him, feed him, give him a nap. dont forget to change his diaper

6 months old...they are more independant so give him toys and just play with him, watch him closely especially if he is crawling. toys that light up, or play airplane with him...good luck :)

nothing...all he will do is sleep...it is so easy you will make a quick buck and have fun watching him sleep and saying how cute he is lol

either age- just talk to him, make silly faces, sing nursery rhymes.

if he is 6 months he will be a little interested in toys-just remember that they have short attention spans.

if he starts crying start at the top of the list and work your way down

is he hungry, needs a clean diaper, teething, gassy, bored

remember to be patient and to get the moms cell number
