  1. Be friendly and open as this will help them to see that you will be a good person to have as front of house.  They will probably ask how you would deal with awkward customers (in person or on the phone) so if possible you should give an example of how you have dealt with it in the past.  As long as you can give examples of how you would deal with various situations as a receptionist you should have a good chance.  Good luck - hope you get it. :-)

  2. Smile and answer questions appropriately.  Don't be chatty because being a receptionist means being friendly, but not talkative.  It takes a quick-minded person and one who is short and to the point without being rude.  Be up front and personable, but not too excited.

    Good Luck

  3. Turn up 10 mins early.

    Remember your manners.

Look smart. Not too much perfume.

Good eye contact but don't stare. Smile.

    Confident answers.

Look up the company on the Internet, it's a good idea to know something about them.

    Good Luck

  4. Dress to impress, be confident and enthusiastic, talk about how you can multi-task and use your initiative
