Question:

Any tips to get a suntan?

I'm going to be working outside for about 30 minutes. After that I'm going to cool down in the pool. I'm going to put some sunscreen and tan a bit. Will this give me a not too dark tan if I'm outside for 1-2 hours?

Or is there a better way to suntan without getting too dark and being safe?

  1. There's really no safe way to tan without sunscreen, but you could watch for the burning time on the weather and then stay outside for a little bit less than that, just enough so you don't burn, then put on a light sunscreen.

  2. that will work fine. i love being tan. i don't even think it's that bad for your skin as long as you're sure to wear sunscreen then you just get color. just use anywhere from 4 to 15 spf. that always works for me.

  3. No that should do it right depending on your skin tone.  If you are fair skinned and tan easily then you might want to be pretty careful.  But if you have a medium to dark tone, then you will be looking good.  You probably should gradually expose yourself though, in 45 minute intervals, and not just jump out there for 2 hours

  4. There's no totally safe way to tan, but if you use a 4 or 8 sunscreen, you should get some color without burning.

  5. yes

  6. if your wearing a little sunscreen you should be fine just make sure to re apply it after you swim.

personally I think people make to big of a deal about being in the sun we're not as delicate as most people think.  but being in the sun for a loooong time is bad :(

  7. YOU CAN NOT BE SAFE IF YOUR IN THE SUN ITS BAD FOR YOUR SKIN

but you should get a professional spray tan. sounds tacky but if done right you'll never know

tanning is so bad for you it doesnt matter how you look

  8. i dont thiunk 1-2 hours will ruin your skin, but the fact is, everyones skin is different and reacts differently to the sun, so im not very sure

and you can try using tanning booths as well =)

i was out hiking in the sun for about ten hours a couple weeks ago, and i came back with a few burns but a great tan

    so good luck to ya!
