Any tips to help deal with motion sickness?

I'm going on a trip tomorrow, it's a really long bus ride and I'm going with my school. I don't want to get sick on it but I often suffer from motion sickness.

I was wondering if any one knew any home remades to help, preferably something I can take before the trip? Thanks.

  1. Try to sit in the front of the bus: the motion isn't so bad and you can see out of the front window which also helps.

Don't read, watch a movie or play a video game. If you focus on something that doesn't move this makes the motion sickness worse. In stead talk or listen to music, and keep looking outside.

Dramamine is a popular over the counter drug you can take. For nausea you can also take cola syrup (or just plain cola sodas).

Hope you get through it ok :-)

  2. some information,may be helpful,http://www.homesecuredot.com,

  3. Ginger is good at keeping your stomach settled. So any drinks or food that you can find with ginger in them may help.

  4. Dramamine. It's a little pill that they sell in drugstores/grocery stores. It helps stop motion sickness. Believe me, I got carsick on a 10 minute ride the other day, but when I take this I can be in a vehicle for hours on end with no problem whatsoever.

  5. go with the first two answers dramammine is a very effective pill and works good. If your stomach feels queesy hot cinnamon hard candy always calms my tummy down. the red wrapped hard candies. i hope you have a good trip!

  7. Dramamine is a popular over the counter drug to help prevent motion sickness.
