  1. first try breathing exercises again ,if  hurts your lungs try to practice it when you are not running. when you are inhaling, imagine that you are smelling a rose, and when you are exhaling imagine that you are blowing candles at your birthday.

    --good luck

  2. for speed run on your toes because it pushes u up with more strength because you are bending and if you occupy your mouth  by singing or something your lungs will pump better letting you run a longer distamce

  3. not many people do the nose thing so dont worry about it.....i dont do it and im a county champ.

  4. I will share the entire combined hours of my life long training...

    RUN VERY FAST ! ! !

  5. Running is for people with guts if it hurts just sit on the couch and watch some tv at least it will feel better.

  6. I find breathing through my nose hurts me too. I cant do it for long and it makes my lungs feel worse and constricted.

I breathe through my mouth- every time my feet hit the ground I breathe in then out the next time, and make it a rhythmic thing so I'm not conscious of doing it. Then I can focus on the people in front of me and who I have to over take and the pace I need to go.

Running for too long and making your knees ache may be because you're pushing yourself too much. The more you practise running the more that should go away and it could be because you are slightly unfit? Or not used to running at the speed you do sometimes do or you run too far. Slowly build it up. It should go away.
