Bought a great car...before I knew I was pregnant. My son is now 1, and during summer, my car heats up inside really bad. Since my son is in the back, I can't drive with the windows down, so, any tips on keeping my baby cool?

  1. You can drive with the windows down.  Before you go anywhere, air the car out, by rolling down the windows to get the heat to leave the vehicle.  Drive with the windows down some.  Spray a little mist of water on him and if you keep the back of hte neck and armpits cool, his body temperture will drop.  Make sure he is wearing light colors, and a hat visor to keep the sun out of his face.  They make those window shaes, that you can see though, but help keep the sun out.  Finally, you can go to Walmart or any auto store, and guy a fan that plugs into your cigerette lighter, and can blow air, if you still refuse to put the windows down.

  2. I would say one of thos little fans you can clip onto something on the seat in front of him and crack your windows enough to let air in but not too much to bother him. You can also bring a wet wash cloth, make it really cold when you leave and let him wipe his face and neck with it while you drive.

  3. Trade in the car!

  4. spit on him.

  5. Also, try getting one of those shiny window cover things. I'm sure they have their own name but I can't think of it. You've probably seen other people with them. They fold out and you place them in your car beneath the windshield to keep out the sun. Make sure you drive with the windows down, unless it's raining.

  6. You can either buy one of those car fans with foam blades or just give him lots of ice water. Also, if you open the front and back windows, it's not as windy than if you just opened the front windows.

When your car is parked, crack the windows open so the heat isn't trapped. You can also get the front window sun gaurds. (Its a refective panel that fits in the front window to reflect sun out.)

  7. Windows lol.

  8. Attach a little fan to the back of the seat, you can get cheap ones in poundshops.

  9. If you open the front and back windows, your son won't get blown away, if you open only the front it gets very windy back there, try that if that doesn't work open the front and back windows closest to him 1/2 inch and the other two a bit more.

  10. Well when driving in the  local street have the windows down also dress him for the weather and  on the high way but on the fan not the A/C to get some air in the car and if it is about 85 you need to put on the ac or drive windows down.

  11. I would still roll your windows down a bit. He'll get some wind, but I'd think that'd be better than being hot. Give him a sippy cup of juice or water to sip on and try to keep the car rides short. Put window shades on the back windows to block some of the sun out and dress him in light clothing.

  12. We got the same problem.......Let air run befoire you get in car...also, buy some of those pull down sun protectors for the windows.

  13. bring a cup of ice and bottled water and a face towle and constantly wipe his forhead and poor water on his forhead it will keep him cool enough to make it to your destnation

  14. Get one of those little mini battery-operated fans and try to find somewhere to set it by him or hang it from the ceiling if possible.

  15. LOL yeah you should have though about the kid you didnt know you were having yet and how not having air conditioning in your car would effect him, your an idiot Chrys. An easy fix would be to buy one of those lil portable fans and clip it to the head rest on the back of the seat, if you get one with a cigarette adaptor you should be all set, good luck and stay cool.

  16. buy a small car fan and use it inside the car

  17. You can buy one of those battery opperated fans, and clip it facing him in the back.......some even have foam blades so it wouldn't hurt him if he touches it........but if you clip it far enough away from him...it will be ok!

  18. u can buy him a little fan that u can turn on and squirt your self with a little water..like the ones many people have in disney..u can even buy them at a local drug store

  19. Dress him in white clothes and give him plenty of water

Maybe get an A/C installed or maybe get a little fan for him.

and just wind the window down a lil bit or get a sun roof.

    Hope i helped

  20. Windows?

Depending on where you live, I live in So. FL, windows do not help. It is too hot out!!!  You get stuck at a light and within seconds you are sweating your tail off!!!

We also have a car that does not have A/C. Sometimes you have to sacrifice those things to have a classic!!!

You can always get some of those cooling bean sacks...the ones that you can put in the freezer or microwave. You can also get clip on fans.

  21. you can buy a car fan from wal-mart, thats what my sister did with her 1 year old

  22. He will be okay.  Roll the windows down.  People used to get by without AC and they did okay.

  23. well I'm not sure why having a child in the back means you can't have windows down??? but if that is your choice i guess try keeping the vents open, get him a battery operated clip on fan, and make sure he always has access to water/juice

  24. Have you tried Magicool? The cooling spray? I am sure it is safe to use on children. Spray it on him and it will cool him down instantly.

  25. you can't...you should have had a thought..

  26. what about one of those little solar fans that fit just inside the window?

  27. Uh....why can't you drive with the windows down??? He won't blow out!!! Put a damp towel down on his carseat!
