  1. no carbonated beverages ONLY WATER!!! =)

  2. Cramping while running means either you had to much to eat or drink before running or to little to eat. And if it's not either of those it simply means your core muscles arn't strong enough to keep up with your running. If you work on your core muscles, the crapming should stop. Trust me my brother runs track for Berkley i know alot about running. (The girl tlking about stretching is right too)

  3. Hello,

Cramps usually come about because of shallow breathing or dehydration.  Try taking nice full breaths and if you find yourself getting out of breath...ease up on the pace.  Check out the link below for some more guidance on running cramps.  Good luck!

  4. ok well don't start to hard out in the beggining off the race and save sprinting for the end and don't drink water right before the race dirnk it about an hour before sometimes you get so used to running with cramps that they won't bother you anymore

  5. Breathe from your stomach. Drink water all the time. Not just before and during the run. Start slow and build your way up.

  6. Drink more water throughout the day.

  7. Stay hydrated and stretch really well.  Obviously don't drink a bunch right before you run, but you should be drinking water throughout the day...all day.  Jog for a few minutes first, then when your muscles are warm, do a brief stretch before starting your run. (And of course stretch when you are finished.)

  8. most important is stretch for a while.. it might sound like a pain but it helps u get loose and u feel much better when u run also cramps could be caused by eating right before u run or going running when u are hungry
