Question:

Any tough, durable drumsticks out there?

Seems everytime I sit down to play my drums, I break a stick or two. I love thinner sticks, lets me play faster than thicker sticks. But I guess any will do. Are there any durable sticks out there that won't break easily?

  1. I use vick firth

  2. Turkey drumsticks are probably the only ones long enough to play drums with.  Go for the biggest turkeys you can get your hands on and don't let the bones dry out too much (or they'll get brittle and break just like you said)... Actually, I think there are drumsticks made of some form of plastic that last a long time and are hard to break. :)

  3. The best ones out there are Vic Virth....thats the best bet

  4. Zildjian sticks are the best. They do make plastic, fiberglass and polycoated sticks. Wrap them with tape. Randy Castillo (R.I.P.) and Tommy Aldridge wrap their sticks.
