  1. Hi there…go check a website called Trip Advisor.  They have loads of stuff about Spain in general and Benidorm in particular.  I always use it before I travel as it got the best tip from travelers' postings.

    Enjoy your trip!

  2. Don`t overpack firstly, swimwear  and casual for the days and cool casual/ clothing for the evening.  don`t worry about taking too many toiletries as you will always be able to get what you need when you are there, just take the essentials/your favourites!  ensure that you read all the travel advice that your travel company will have given you re flight times etc.  you may want to give photocopies of your documents to your family just in case you lose your stuff - hopefully that won`t happen though.  make sure you hire a safety deposit box when you get to your hotel and only carry money etc for what you need and put the other safely away.  get to the airport in plenty of time in order to reduce stress and don`t overload your suitcases otherwise you will either pay for excess baggage or buy another suitcase!! not good x  the airport is pretty simple - you need departures, know your flight number.  don`t put liquids in your handluggage or sharp items - there are signs everywhere.  you will be fine, enjoy the experience and have a fab holiday - i still remember mine and my husbands first holiday which was 20 years ago!!  p.s don`t burn - i got prickly heat and it was horrendous - a tan isn`t that important.  Just chill and enjoy.  best wishes.  don`t go short on money - you can always bring it home.

  3. Get to the airport in plenty of time. Depending on where you are flying from it may take you a little time to get to the actual gate so also give yourself plenty of time as sometimes you may have to get a small train located inside the airport that takes you to the gate to get on the plane. Dont take liquids in your bag that you are taking inside the cabin. Ask your travel agent  if you are not sure.

Dont overpack as people simply take far too much on holiday. I live in Benidorm and the last week its been very hot. Bring plenty of film for your camera, and sun cream (its cheaper in the UK generally)

On arrival at your hotel ask for a safety deposit box and leave all money, credit cards, passport, tickets etc in there and only take out enough money for the day/night. Watch your bag there are pickpockets about and your wallet too, put it in your front pocket. Be careful of crowded places like bus stops or markets as people often lose their wallet/purse there.

I dont want to put you off, I want you to have a fab time here in Benidorm but you must know the bad aswell as the good.

I have lived here 17 years and never had a problem so you can come and have a great time too.

Go to Morgans Tavern and watch Michael Jackson look alike show (its original)

  4. - Keep your passport and money in a safe place!  Get a small bag, or money belt - something that you can keep it in, and that others can't easily access.  The worst thing is for someone to steal your money, cards, passport!  It probably won't happen, but better to be safe than sorry!

    - Airports are pretty straight forward.  When you arrive you have to check in.  Look at the tv screens to tell you which check in desk you have to go to.

    - Wear comfortable clothes and sensible shoes for the flight!  You want to arrive feeling comfortable rather than with blisters from heels!  :)

    - Make a list of all the things you have to do before your holiday!  Get a E111 card - so if you are sick you get free medical care (sorry to mention negative things! But it is better to be prepared!).

    - List everything you want to pack, decent sunscreen, swimmies etc etc!  Then before you go you can just work through everythng rather than running round the house like a mad chicken!

    - When you get there- ENJOY THE CULTURE!  You are visiting a different country. So along with the sun, enjoy the different food and customs!  DOn't expect it to be Britain and everyone to speak perfect English.  Be gracious and just enjoy!

    - You will have a fantastic time!  Just chill and enjoy a new place and some sun!
