Any traveling Radiology persons here?

am thinking of becoming a traveling Sonographer..Has anyone done this? If so what company is the best? What is the average hourly pay/per-diem/car allowance?

I have over 10 years experience.

I only do general ultrasound and a little vascular..No echo.

I am a sonographer and while I don't travel, it's lucrative if you have no obligations (family, house etc...)

You generally get reimburesed mileage.  A rental car may be provided if you have to fly to the site to begin with.  You should look at making $40 with your experience, the more you do, the better they can bill you.  And the more registries you have, the better money you can make.

$25 per diem is normal.  They will put you up in a hotel or apartment if you're there long enough (at one particular site).
