Any true "Barely Survivors" out there who have documented proof/photos, etc?

Question

I am a writer who wants to put a book together about survival with true stories. I know this is all very vague but I figure this is a good place to reach a lot of people, and the reward to those willing to share their stories who end up in the final published book will be given a complimentary copy of course. And a chance to talk more with me so you feel comfortable. What a way to get your name into history! Please, only serious survivors with proof of their experiences respond.

mine was a story of not-so-rich when dad was alive.  then he died - being single income - we hit poverty.  then we struggled - barely survive - unlike reality shows - and now we can breathe again.
